Our pilot project is funded through the Green Jobs Innovation Fund grant from the U.S. Department of Labor and is a part of the Jobs for the Future Greenways Initiative which funded training projects in Boston, Chicago, Detroit, D.C. and beyond. This is an industry recognized training that meet the standards of the North American Board of Certified Energy Practioners and is provided through partnership with Infinite Solar, an Interstate Renewable Energy Council accredited school, licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
160 men and women will qualify and receive free training in:
- Solar PV Installation
- Solar Sales
- Advanced Solar Design
Qualifications:
- Two years or more experience in construction, carpentry, electrical, roofing, or HVAC
- Knowledge of tools of the trade
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Familiar with equations, fractions and/or algebra
- Desire to expand skills and knowledge
