Diane Cornman-Levy MS, PT

Executive Director

Diane Cornman-Levy has been the Executive Director for the Federation of Neighborhood Centers since May of 2007. Before working at the Federation, she was the Founder and Executive Director of Journey Home, a nonprofit organization that provided health and human services to more than 2,500 children, youth, adults and families per year. She has an expertise in community health, program/curriculum development, grant writing, non-profit management, and coalition-building. For the past 20 years, Ms Cornman-Levy has focused on designing and implementing innovative approaches to building the capacity of youth, families, adults and communities with the overall goal of breaking the cycle of poverty.

She has held various professional positions including physical therapist, manager, teacher, healthcare consultant, community activist, founder and executive director of a non-profit organization, and now Executive Director of the Federation of Neighborhood Centers. In each of these positions, she has challenged the status quo through improving existing or developing new programs and services. Her efforts have culminated in the creation of three innovative community health-training programs for health professional students, the creation of a community center in Lower North Philadelphia, and the development of three innovative youth development programs for at-risk youth, and a green job readiness partnership for low-skilled adults. Ms. Cornman-Levy received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Brown University and a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at Northwestern University.
