Bernadette Jones
Director of Family Services

Ms. Jones is responsible for managing the Parent Empower Program (PEP) that is currently being conducted at seven different non-profit agencies. Ms. Jones worked in collaboration with Family Court Juvenile Probation in the past and currently with the Department of Human Services to conduct parenting classes for both mothers and fathers. She holds a Master of Science degree in Social Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Welfare. Ms. Jones has 34 years of experience working at Family Court Juvenile Probation and was the Balanced and Restorative Justice Coordinator at the time of her retirement. Her tenure at Family Court included 18 years as a Probation Officer and 16 years in Juvenile Justice Supervision and Administration. In addition to managing PEP, she also provides training to our member agencies in the areas of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness and Balanced and Restorative Justice.

• Post Traumatic Distress Disorder Awareness - Pennsylvania Commission of Crime and Delinquency (Certified)
• Parent Facilitator - Parent Project (Certified)
• Trauma Recovery for Woman & Young Females - The Behavioral Health Training & Education Network (Certified)
• Victim/Community Awareness Facilitator - Center for Juvenile Justice Training and Research / Juvenile Court Judge’s Commission (Certified) 
•  Balance and Restorative Justice Facilitator – Center for Juvenile Justice Training and Research /Juvenile Court Judges’ Commission(Certified)
• Mediator – Good Sheppard Mediation Program (Certified)
