Anja LeBlanc
Manager, Workforce Initiatives

Anja LeBlanc relocated to the United States from her native Germany after completing her degree in Social Work at the University of Kassel.  Always interested in work that contributes toward improving people’s lives, she continued her education at Temple University in Philadelphia, completing her Master’s in Education with a focus on Adult and Organizational Development in 2004.  While working on her Master’s she worked as a case manager for ActionAIDS and afterwards as a Business & Staffing Specialist for PWDC, working out of one of Philadelphia’s one-stop CareerLink sites, thus shifting her focus toward workforce development.

Some of her accomplishments include her appointment as a specialist for Philadelphia County on the Logistics & Transportation Industry Cluster.  She also served as a proactive advisory member of the Southeast Logistics & Transportation Industry Partnership.  As a result of this work she was invited to become a member of the Project Advisory Committee and Career Guidance Workgroup.  She was also selected as a participant for a pilot to provide feedback and input on an eight day Career Guidance Training rolled out to the Pennsylvania CareerLink staff and partners and consequently gained approval as a Penn State University Instructor and facilitated all 8 modules for one of the cohorts.

Anja joined the Federation of Neighborhood Centers in July of 2010 as a team member of the Neighborhood Green Job Readiness Partnership, bringing her workforce development expertise as a collaborator to this model project endeavor.

Fun Fact: Anja's Netflix queue includes a lot of geeky shows, mostly with a SciFi or Supernatural slant
